Session 3: 35 Weeks – Early Parenthood & Newborn Care
- The important role of your birth partner
- Caring for your body after birth, including pelvic floor health and recovery
- Caring for your emotional wellbeing
- Recognizing problems that require urgent attention
- Newborn care: health, early days tips, and guidance
- Nappy changing and basic baby care
- Infant feeding: breastfeeding, bottle feeding, skin-to-skin contact, bonding, and recognizing feeding cues
- Success with newborns: baby care guidance from 6–12 weeks
- Becoming a family: adjusting to new family roles and routines
- Becoming a dad: support and guidance for new fathers
